In so doing, Peralta went where no Tigers player had ever gone before: he became the first player in the team’s 110-year history to hit home runs in each of his first two at-bats with the team. (One other player had homered twice in his first game with the Tigers, although not in his first two at-bats; that was Billy McMillon on Aug. 5, 2000.)
