What I thought yesterday- How interesting it was to watch the last two innings Ubaldo Jimenez no-hitter and watch him throw out of the stretch. Good for him for swallowing his ego and doing what was right for him and the team and just “drop and drive” his way to history books.

I did think it was sort of stupid however the Rockies TV announcers didn’t say he was pitching a no-hitter, like they were being superstitious like the players about it. Kind of a reach, just report the action.

Thursday's Top Action

On the day, we were officially 1-0 with my Free Play an easy winner with Utah and I’m having a very good NCAA Tournament and hope to keep it up, giving out my top play in that area. The Day After

Officially took a 1-1 day on Super Bowl Sunday and we’ll search for better results the day after. Sort of a slow day on Monday, thus the Best System around happens to be on the NHL at 32-6. The Top Trend and Free Pick have a decided view point, see what you think. Good Luck

What I’m thinking today- Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints for winning the first ever Super Bowl and the city’s first ever championship. The most striking aspect of the game was Sean Payton’s ability to be himself. Since becoming a head coach, he’s always been a risk taker and it worked for him again in Miami.

Going for the fourth down and not making it near the end of the second quarter and still being able to come away with three points to get the score to 10-6. The onside kick was a decisive play, that just as easily could have gone the other way (imagine the outcry had the Colts gotten the ball and score to take the lead to 17-6). Finally, the challenge that was reversed to give New Orleans a touchdown lead, which brought into question how the rule actually reads. Three decisions that could just as easily worked against the Saints, but if you are destined to win a Super Bowl, those thinks go your way.

Kudos to Drew Brees, 29 for 32 over final three quarters, as New Orleans literally took what Indianapolis gave them, with eight different receivers reading the Colts zone and running to area and coming back to ball for pitch and catch completions. This is the same Brees San Diego didn’t believe had the ability to win a championship with. The Chargers were probably right, it would have never happened in San Diego.

Gregg Williams’ defense was burned for 10 quick points and switched from 3-4 to 3-3-5, which created more exotic looks and made it tougher for Peyton Manning to be consistent. This defense shuffle ultimately set up the game’s winning Pick Six for the Saints.

The Dwight Freeney injury was a big deal since he was unable to use spin move and the Saints seldom had to double him, particularly in the final 30 minutes after his ankle stiffened up. In a world where instant coffee isn’t fast enough, Peyton Manning went from one of the all-time greats before the game to 9-9 in the post-season immediately after its conclusion by the talking heads.

Early reports are this might be the most watched Super Bowl ever and one of the most wagered on. Because so many books had exposure to the New Orleans on the money line, they either will show a slight loss or profit when everything is tabulated.

Scintillating Sunday

Playing against what will be the No. 1 team in the country tomorrow was not a trepidant idea; nevertheless it was the best system which led to 1-2 day. What I thought last yesterday – Clark Kellogg was harping on Texas not playing well offensively for their reasons for losing. While there is truth in that, the fact remains in watching them, the Longhorns do a poor job in stopping dribble penetration off the wings and allow entry passes into the post (within seven of the basket) way to easily. Personally, I think the defense, not the offense is what needs more attention.

What I learned yesterday – Atlanta completed a night of comeback victories in the NBA by overcoming a 12-point Trail Blazers lead to win in Portland, 97-91. (Portland possessed a 33-21 lead in the second quarter.) Atlanta's victory was the fifth of the night by an NBA team that overcame a deficit of at least a dozen points. Earlier, Cleveland came from 18 points down to defeat Washington; Chicago overcame a 13-point deficit to beat Milwaukee; Phoenix came from 12 points back to win in Miami; and Dallas rebounded from 16 points behind to outlast Utah. It's the first day on which at least five winning teams overcame deficits of 12-or-more points since last November 14, when five teams also did it. (Thanks Elias)

Nice Mix for a Tuesday

We ended up 2-2 for our NFL plays and forge ahead towards another week, with a nice variety of sports forthcoming. On the football side we have a Top Trend that has never lost. We have strong consensus who wins Game 163 tonight in baseball. The Best System around is in the NHL and you have to consider it even so early in the season at 86.2 percent. Good Luck

What I learned yesterday – Brett Favre can still dial it up when completely focused. Though receiving strong criticism on blogs and forums, how could John Gruden and Jaws not be impressed with Favre’s performance? Whether he’s capable of doing this in December or January is another discussion. As many things as Aaron Rodgers seemingly does right, he has to start getting rid of the ball. Any top level quarterback is not going to be sacked eight times, period. It’s great to want a be a hero and make plays down the field, but you only hurt yourself and your team by being somewhat oblivious to offensive line deficiencies. The Packers are 2-2 and the game plans of the Packers coaching staff has helped make this a .500 team to date.

Time to get over the Hump Wednesday

I admit it, I was shocked Auburn lost to Baylor at home and our system failed. (I have the wagering account to prove it) That very same system is in play tonight and is against Kentucky. I finally got it done. For those that have been dying a little each day not knowing the records of 3Daily Winners systems, trends and free picks, you can get off the oxygen now, your moment has come. What an insane day in college basketball yesterday, with underdogs 10-7 against the spread, which included EIGHT outright upsets. 3Daily Winners took it on the chin with 1-3 mark and will look to regroup today. Tuesday's Best Bets and Quick Look at MNF Total

Well this is a first, two straight 2-0-1 days at 3Daily Winners. I saw the trend of bettors taking the total upward on the Monday night affair and bet the Under 40 points. In all honesty it was probably fitting the game Pushed, because those on either side had two very lucky or unlucky breaks forcing the outcome. One of the wackier totals games of the year.

Betting Thoughts and Great Hockey System

Really thought we had a winner with Charlotte Bobcats last night with our system play, rats, (OK a little too old school but I have a reputation to keep up) which gave us a 1-2 day. We have another fantastic Hockey System running tonight that is 23-2 since 1997. Today’s Top Trend is not relevant to today, but keep in your back pocket for betting college football on Saturday. I have the updated figures at the monitors we belong to. As stated Monday, we are #1 at Free Sports Monitor in the NFL. We are #3 in the NFL at The Sports Eye and #6 in college football. We would be higher ranked in both sports at Cappers Watchdog, but they use the 1-5 unit measure and these plays are placed the same way we would bet on them. Many others us max five all the time, we have chosen to be consistent with our values. However, we are #6 at Cappers Watchdog in the NHL with every play two units.

Very curious about tonight’s Central Michigan and Northern Illinois game and here’s why. The average score of an NIU game is 42.9 points and 38.7 PPG at home. In conference games the average is 42.5 PPG. CMU has averaged 56.2 PPG and 61.4 on the road. In MAC action they have averaged 52.4 PPG. Because of how good NIU plays defense, I believe the conference numbers are more useful for both teams. If my thinking is correct, is the oddsmaker telling us the 49.5 total favors the underdog Chippewas being a potentially higher scoring game? Think my logic is correct? Let me know your thoughts.
