Trying to nail Wednesday Winners
What I'm letting you know today – Don’t you just love coaches who talk out of both sides of their mouth repeatedly. Houston Nutt of Ole Miss has not struck gold on the recruiting trail and after two successful years of coaching another coach’s players, the Rebels are believed to be at or near the basement in the SEC West.
Noted trouble-maker and talented quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was booted from the Oregon football team after being arrested again. Still needing to complete is college education (wink-wink) and football eligibility, Masoli found the right university of higher learning. Nutt said he would have never considered the troubled young man, but his back-up quarterback suffered injury that will prevent him from playing this upcoming season, thus he needed an experiences second-stringer. RIGHT!
The GUARANTEED Plays lost a tough 3-2 decision with Texas and expect to rebound this evening with Guaranteed selection in the senior circuit that will make us both Winners. This contest has a particular pitcher in Perfect 10-0 situation.

Free Baseball System -1) Play Against road underdogs with a money line of +175 to +250 like Houston, with NL a starting pitcher whose ERA is 3.00 or better on the season. This is common sense system since if a team is that big an underdog with what appears to be a descent hurler, they would be expected to struggle. How much you wonder, the underdog is 8-62 in this spot with 0-5 record this year.
Free Baseball Trend –2) The Braves and Kris Medlen are 12-1 vs. teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game.
Free Baseball Pick -3) The Left Coast Connection has 8-0 consensus on Atlanta tonight.

The first Monday of August
What I letting you know today – I’ve been a huge fan of Taco Bell for a long time (please don’t hold that against me) and though I have my favorites, when something new comes down the pike I’ll usually give it a go. As a TB expert, I can say without question, the new Cantina Tacos are the absolutely worst thing I’ve ever eaten there. They’ve had winners and others that were fair, but in my book, these are definitely Play Against.
The GUARANTEED Plays have a selected team that wins 84.6 percent of the time off recent results and tonight’s projected loser falls right in line with 1-11 mark against certain types of pitchers. Take home today’s GUARANTEED Winner.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play Against road underdogs with a money line of +100 to +150 like Houston, a weak NL offensive team scoring 4.1 runs or less a game, against an average starting pitcher whose ERA is in the 4.20 to 5.20 range, with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.250 or better on the season. How about since 1997 this MLB system is 37-7.
Free Baseball Trend –2) The New York Yankees are 18-3 after seven or more consecutive road games over the last two seasons.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Ken cooled for awhile but was 6-1 over the weekend and has Oakland on the money line and run line tonight.

Trying to keep the Winners coming this Sunday
A special salute to Ron, for giving us a ton of his Top Plays that were unbelievable consistent winners, super job Ron. The new kid in town is a familiar name, Sal, whose been building a bankroll of late. The Top Trend is perfection at 15-0 and only one system went past the 80 percent range and it is on ESPN tonight. Good Luck
What I noticed today – We are in the Top 9 in MLB for the last month at Cappers Monitor and Cappers Watchdog.
A 2-1 Saturday gives us 114-59 record (65.8 percent) here at 3DW on our plays.
You have to read this, Good Stuff -

Free Baseball System -1) Play Against all underdogs with a money line of +125 to +175 like the Cubs, who is crummy offensive team scoring 4.1 or less runs per game, against a rock solid NL starting pitcher (ERA<=3.70), with a decent bullpen whose WHIP is 1.350 to 1.450 on the season. Since 2008, this system is 46-11.
Free Baseball Trend -2) A rare trend for the Toronto Blue Jays has them as 15-0 vs. AL teams scoring 3.7 or less runs game in the second half of the season since 1997.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Sal is +6.4 units the last few days and is riding Houston to punish Pittsburgh.

We look for more Winners this Friday
Sweet goodness, another 3-0 day lifts us to 110-57. This evening we have an 81.8 percent system in the AL Central and our Top Trend is majestically perfect. Though Ron of the LCC isn’t perfect in a lot ways (gotcha Ron), he’s been that way around here for a long time and has another top Free play. Good Luck
What I thought today – The Yankees and Braves are very interesting run line options tonight, just not for me.
I almost forgot. I saw on Twitter that Gary Busey said he had worked with Mel Gibson and in his opinion, Gibson is indeed a racist. I thought what better person to judge character than a whack job like Busey.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play Against home underdogs with a money line of +125 to +175 like the Tribe, who are below average AL hitting team (BA .265 or less), against a team with a solid bullpen whose ERA is 3.75 or lower, playing on Friday. I’m not sure what this day of the week has to do with system, but no arguments with 43-10 record.
Free Baseball Trend -2) The teams C.C. Sabathia has pitched for the last three seasons are 15-0 vs. clubs averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game in the second half of the year.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Ron pushed his streak to 58-15 with two more winners yesterday and is thinking the Astros will sky-rocket to victory.

More Red Hot Winners at 3DW
Two more winners last night takes 3DW to 101-57, 63.9 percent, of our most recent plays. Though we have missed days here and there for plays, did you realize Ron has been doling out winners since June 13! That is by far the best streak we’ve ever had, considering one posted loss means “See Ya”. His top play is listed below for Free. Today’s Top Trend is a totals play and the Best System is light, but still very strong at 76.5 percent. Good Luck
What I thought and heard today – How weird life can be when you anticipate events to occur in a certain way and out of nowhere something completely different occurs. I know it’s a broad topic, but sometimes it’s just crazy.
Can you believe the line on Rangers/O’s game? It’s a terrible value even on the standard run line. You’d have to go to 2.5 run line just to have reasonable number for taking a loss and though Texas could win 10-3 easily, a tough number to beat, especially in July.
Just saw this on Twitter from former NBA player Toni Kukoc - What is the difference between LeBron and the planet Saturn, both are large, full of gas, but Saturn as least has rings. Not bad.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) This won’t be a qualifying play because it falls below 80 percent limit, however at least consider the Yankees as Play On team with a money line of -100 to -150, when team's hitters draw four walks or more game on the season, after allowing two runs or less in a trio of contests. This system checks in at 72-22.
Free Baseball Trend -2) Tom Gorzelanny of the Chicago Cubs is 10-1 OVER in road games playing against a team with a winning record in the second half of the season during his career.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Ron had three more winners last night taking his record to 50-12 since June 9 (holy sh_t) in baseball. Tonight his favorite play is Houston to launch the Cardinals.
Note- If you prefer to have this sent to you daily instead of having to visit the site, sign up for our FREE mailing list on the right.
Saturday is looking fine
What I thought this week – If you ever get the chance to go to Sedona, AZ, don’t pass it up, one of the most remarkable places on this earth.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play Against all underdogs with a money line of +150 or more like Houston, with a starting pitcher whose strikes out three or less batters per start, after a game where the bullpen threw six or more innings. This is rather self-explanatory, big underdog with used pen and lousy starter has added to 57-10 record since 2006.
Free Baseball Trend -2) Atlanta is 21-4 as a home favorite of -110 or higher this season, winning by 2.4 runs per game.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Ron of the LCC is 12-2 this week in baseball and is on Philadelphia to have Minnesota seeing double.
Note- If you prefer to have this sent to you daily instead of having to visit the site, sign up for our FREE mailing list on the right.
Saturday's Line up
I wish I could keep up with this daily with how we are going but doing a lot of football writing recently which cuts into time. Anyway we are on 59-26 run and have an outstanding 85.4 percent system ready to ignite. The Top Trend is reverse perfect and not surprising involves the Pirates. The guys from the Left Coast Connection have been awesome when they think like-minded and have another Free consensus play. Good Luck
What I’ll thought today – I love conspiracy theorists, if Orlando would have won last night they would say the NBA is fixed and they wanted a seventh game, but since that didn’t happen they move on to “well David Stern wanted Boston in the finals”. Amazing!!!!
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play Against all underdogs with a money line of +100 or higher like the Astros, being outscored by opponents by 0.5 or more runs a game on the season, after allowing 15 runs or more. Since 2006 this system is 41-7, 85.4 percent.
Free Baseball Trend -2) Brian Burres of Pittsburgh is 0-11 on the road when the total is 9 to 9.5 in his career. (Team record)
Free Baseball Pick -3) The LCC consensus plays have been amazing and they are 10-0 on the Red Sox tonight.
Note- If you prefer to have this sent to you daily instead of having to visit the site, sign up for our FREE mailing list on the right.
We're back with Sunday selections
What I have to say today – I’m sorry about the lack of pick information lately, been very busy with a number of outside influences.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play Against all underdogs with a money line of +175 to +250 like Houston, batting .250 or worse over their last 20 games, against opponent with a sparkling starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.000 or less over his last five starts. Since 2006, this bubbly system is 56-4, 93.3 percent.
Free Baseball Trend -2) The Cleveland Indians are revolting 0-13 after scoring four runs or less in six straight games over the last three seasons.
Free Baseball Pick -3) LCC Consensus is 6-0 on Rays and Blue Jays.

3DW Baseball Betting Beat
The Houston Astros are not the worst team in baseball or the poorest wager, however do not worry, they have time to still get there. Houston is 14-26, -7.6 units, both good (and bad enough) to rank in the bottom six of Major League baseball. The Astros could likely be the best play against team at the moment, but somehow they swept the Cardinals near The Arch in St. Louis starting back on May 11 and picked up +6.35 units.
Why is Houston so bad? This is a franchise full of neglect with owner Drayton McLane calling the shots. McLane would not have his millions if he ran his other businesses in the same manner as his baseball franchise.
McLane has always liked to overpay for his own stars, with B to C level talent he thought would help fill seats and maybe help his team win. Free agents like Carlos Lee, Jeff Kent, Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens (he of the part-time duty in his days in southeast Texas) all received big contracts, but never produced the type of numbers over the expanse of their deals.
Lance Berkman might be 34, but his deterioration has been in full view for a couple of years for those betting baseball.
The numbers tell the story about the ‘Stros. In the National League they are last in runs scored (3.0), batting average (.231), doubles (53), home runs (21), total bases (436) and on-base percentage (.277).
To understand their ineptitude, compare those numbers to league averages, please understand not the best, just what the average NL team profile looks like. (Thru May 19)
Runs scored (4.5)
Batting average (.257)
Doubles (77)
Home runs (37)
Total bases (552)
On-base percentage (.330)
These are mind-boggling numbers for sports betting aficionados. At the aforementioned date with these number compiled, Houston did not have above average player at ONE field position (excluding pitcher) when it came to adding up these shown figures in the senior circuit, not one.
The Astros play the old-school way like a Kirby Puckett, who went to the dish hacking. One problem they don’t have a player of his talent on the roster and rank 15th in pitches taken and dead last in walks with 77. (The Giants are 15th at 121 base on balls by comparison, a 36.4 percent differential)
About the only thing Houston batters don’t do a lot of is strikeout (lowest in the NL), but they have so little patience at the plate, they don’t give opposing pitchers a chance to send them back to the bench and instead flail away at whatever is pitched.
With the poorest farm system in the big leagues according to Baseball America, one top notch pitcher in Roy Oswalt and two average to slightly above hurlers in Wandy Rodriguez and Brett Myers, prospects are not good this season will improve. Take away a 9-6 record at present against NL Central partners and the 2010 Astros are 5-20 (-15.5) against the record of the league.
The best way to sum up Houston is compare them to baseball’s best team, Tampa Bay, in one category. The Rays are 16-3 in games determined by four or more runs and the Astros are 3-13. You would think Rachel Phelps was running the team. (The Cleveland Indians owner in the movie - Major League)
I wouldn’t read too much into the Pittsburgh Pirates hovering just below .500 thus far in 2010. The Bucs have been good underdog wager at 17-21, +7.8 units; however their run differential is -100. That number is higher than last place teams Kansas City and Baltimore combined (-96) and even if Pittsburgh was like a bank and could write off it’s bad debt, they would still be the worst in baseball tossing away 20-0 meltdown to Milwaukee.
I just love the so-called experts who have fallen in love with saying starting pitching doesn’t mean what it used to. They site pitch counts, the lack of complete games and greater dependence on bullpens.
While those points are mildly valid, their reference point is like that of politician selectively choosing quasi-numbers and facts to make a point.
The Los Angeles Dodgers started the year with one of the best offenses in the National League, yet on the morning of May 9 were 13-17 and being written off for their lack of pitching.
Joe Torre’s starting pitchers finally found a groove and in harmony with those in the bullpen, put together a streak in which they conceded 2.0 runs per game and the Dodgers won nine in a row, while a bit over average in runs scored at 5.5 compared to 5.2 for the season.
What changed was the starters began throwing strikes, which led to more innings of success with lower pitch counts. This helped setup the pen with pitchers in their normal roles of coming in the game in the seventh, eighth or ninth innings, which is their comfort zone and once success was achieved, the confidence swelled among the entire staff.
The days of complete games and high pitch counts are gone; nevertheless if the starting pitcher can take a tie game or lead into the final three innings, most baseball bettors are positioned to earn a victory.
Getting an early start for Thursday
Those 3-0 days certainly work, so let’s go after another with our record rolling at 39-20 in last 59 plays. The Best System is flat out awesome at 88.2 percent. Ever wonder how the Yankees perform off a shutout, we have it with today’s Top Trend. Slick Rick is burning up the books and has another Free Play Good Luck
What I thought yesterday- Place me in the corner with those that believed the Cleveland Cavaliers were going to win the NBA championship. Everything seemed right this time, improved scoring, better perimeter players on defense and more guys with size in the paint to combat the Orlando’s and Lakers of the world.
Instead we’ve seen 3 ½ lousy (two just pathetic at home) performances by LeBron James and the Cavs against Boston in the conference semi-finals and this team is starting to show the same amount of pride as Atlanta, not a club that supposedly aspires to be NBA champs.
Let’s start with LeBron, how bad is his elbow? While many sportswriters are piling on James like Tiger Woods these days, something has to be wrong. How else would you explain a superstar that averages 20.8 shot per game for his career would have three games below that figure this time of year?
My sense is LeBron doesn’t trust his teammates, despite what most presumed were good moves to improve Cleveland, and there is no proof of it right now. James post-game comments about Boston’s “Big Three coming thru” might have been a telling remark about the fact he honestly believes he doesn’t have the right teammates that can step up and help him.
While James is thought to be unselfish teammate, willing to pass the ball instead of taking more shots himself, you do see a hint of Kobe “I’ll show them” if his teammates are not performing at his level.
I actually like James, but even I’m wondering if he has that killer instinct all the great ones have. When Kobe Bryant senses victory, he’s taking the ball and looks for his shot and if he ends up being covered, his teammates better be ready to catch the pass and score.
Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas and Tim Duncan would do whatever it took to win a championship. Is LeBron committed to that goal or is being the most marketable player enough for him?
Cleveland’s guards continue to be a non-factor on both ends of the floor. They don’t make shots, their perimeter defense is non-existent and I swear I hear “Beep Beep” on my HD sound when Rajon Rondo decides to go by a Cavaliers defender.
Coach Mike Brown is also having terrible playoffs. Doc Rivers looks like a future Hall of Famer with his adjustments compared to Brown’s and though these are professional basketball players, Cleveland has seldom played with any urgency, which is part of a coach’s job description, have your players ready to play.
The Cavaliers might still win the series, but is always the case in the NBA playoffs, you need two dependable scorers and third to emerge game to game if you expect to win. If James doesn’t score than who picks up the slack?
I’ll be holding onto my money thinking about backing the Cavs and really don’t see Cleveland winning two games over Boston at this juncture.

Free Baseball System -1) Play Against all underdogs like Houston with a money line of +175 to +250, with an on-base percentage of .310 or worse over their last 20 games, against opponent with a hot starting pitcher with WHIP of 1.000 or less over his last five starts. This brilliant system is 53-7, 88.2 percent the last five years.
Free Baseball Trend -2) The New York Yankees are 19-3 after shutting out their opponent over the last three seasons.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Slick Rick is 13-2 the last five days in MLB and rides the Rangers this afternoon.

Looking to stay hot this Saturday
Our record has been special of late with 30-15 mark after 3-0 Thursday. For openers we have a 37-8 run line system in the AL. The Top Trend is reverse perfect and Kendall goes right back for the kill in the NBA with FREE NBA winner. Good Luck
What I thought today- Went and saw the Brewers and D-Backs last night. Both teams have obvious shortcomings. The Brew Crew won 3-2 and a big reason in my opinion was to why the game was low scoring was all pitchers threw first pitch strikes 46 of 66 batters.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play On home underdogs (Oakland) with the +1.5 run line after four straight games where they stranded seven or less runners on base, with a cold starting pitcher whose ERA is 7.50 or higher over his last three starts. This RL system is 37-8, 82.2 percent, which includes 2-0 this season.
Free Baseball Trend -2) Felipe Paulino of Houston is 0-12 vs. teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game over the last two seasons.
Free Basketball Pick -3) Kendall knows a good thing when he sees it and is betting Orlando at -2 at Atlanta today.

It's Cinco de Mayo - Stay thirsty my friends
Oh yea, that more like it, two for Tuesday. For Cinco de Mayo (wearing my new Los Suns jersey) have an MLB Super System that is 84.1 percent. The Top Trend is beauty and Paul Buck will have Free Pick before you know it, like right now. Good Luck
What I’m thinking today- Hey Atlanta, just a heads up. The second round of the playoffs has started. Yea, I know you are a bit tuckered out from seven games against inferior Milwaukee team and it would have been nice to take nap every day with your favorite blanket like Orlando did after sweeping the Jordan’s.
Well I checked with the NBA and everyone on your team gets a merit badge for attending Game 1. Oh sure you lost by 43, it happens. Don’t worry about shooting 34.6 percent, at least Josh Smith was 7-14 and he got a lollipop from the trainer for doing his best like a good boy.
For your next game against the Magic, I like to make one small suggestion, when the coach yells “Box out” that means you get in front of you man, not stand behind him and get out-rebounded by 18.
So you Hawks, you get ready to do your best and don’t worry about the outcome, because the most important things in life is trying hard and updating your Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Free Baseball System -1) Play Against road underdogs like the Halos with a money line of +100 to +150, being an AL team with a low on-base percentage of .320 or worse, against a team with a good bullpen (WHIP of 1.350 or less), with a scary bad bullpen whose WHIP is 1.550 or worse on the season. Over the last five seasons this systems calculates at 37-7.
Free Baseball Trend -2) The Houston Astros are 1-12 off consecutive losses.
Free Basketball Pick -3) Paul Buck is on the Chicago Cubs in the Steel City.

Top Totals System in NL Central Matchup
After a 0-8 start to 2010, the Astros finally got off the launching pad and won eight of their next 10 to have a respectable record for April. Unfortunately the next opponent after the hot stretch was Cincinnati, their kryptonite when they start to play like Superman. The Reds were off a .500 homestand but just the thought of those Houston uniforms gave the Astros a feeling of superiority. Cincinnati has won the first two games of this series taking their record to 11-1 against the Stros, with six wins in seven tries at Minute Maid Park.
Tonight’s situation doesn’t set up nearly as well for the Reds, facing their greatest nemesis.
Houston’s offense is laughable, ranked last in runs scored at 3.3 per game and on-base percentage of .285, but that hardly matters with Roy Oswalt (2-2, 2.42 ERA) pitching. The right-hander is 23-1 lifetime against Cincinnati with a 2.58 ERA. When dressed in the home whites, Oswalt is perfect 12-0 in 16 starts with even lower earned run average of 2.26.
Oswalt will be opposed by Bronson Arroyo (0-2, 7.43), who is like a Moen faucet, he runs hot and cold. Presently he is in the near frozen category, but his manager has seen this before.
“We’ve covered this before,” Dusty Baker said. “He’ll go through a few starts where he struggles, then he’ll reel off seven or eight in a row. I hope this is the end of the bad streak.”
Arroyo is 4-0 in last four starts against Houston, with razor-sharp 1.69 ERA and two complete games.
Houston is a -170 money line favorite; however the important number is the total which is 7.5 for this super situation.
Play Under on home teams when the total is 7 to 8.5, with a repugnant offensive scoring less than 4.1 runs per game, with an on-base percentage of .310 or worse over their last 20 games, facing a NL pitcher with ERA of 5.70 or higher.
Since the Dow Jones Industrial Average first climbed above 8,000 (1997), this totals system is 38-13. For additional reinforcement, Arroyo is 13-2 UNDER vs. teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game and Houston is 27-12 UNDER the first month of the season the last two years.
Take a long look at this highly profitable baseball system.
Earth Day Plays -Going Green we hope
Didn’t sniff 4-0; however 3-1 will do as we move ahead. Steve of the LCC posts what he believes is another MLB winner. The Top Trend is reverse perfect and the Best System is 80.4 percent. Good Luck
What I learned today- A strong betting connection of mine made astute observation that the winner of the NBA playoff games can be made by the end of the first quarter thus far.

Free Baseball System -1) Play Against road teams like Texas with as below average AL hitting team (.265 or less) against a team with a good bullpen (ERA of 3.75 or less), batting .200 or worse over their last five games. This system checks in at 41-10, 80.4 percent.
Free Baseball Trend -2) Houston and Felipe Paulino 0-10 against teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Steve got us another winner and is betting Johan Santana will stop the Cubs.

Saturday Stuff
We’ll take it, officially a 2-0 Friday. We come right back with the Yankees as Top Trend, why you ask, because it is in a never lost situation. We have another consensus play for Free Pick, this time in baseball. The Best System isn’t quite to 80 percent; however it’s all that bad at 77.6%. Good Luck
What I thought today- Consider myself dam lucky to hit all three of my NHL plays last night. I have a math based baseball system and it only gets better the more data I collect as the season rolls along, but for fun, here are the underdogs that work out to be potential plays on my list, Washington, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Cleveland and Tampa Bay.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play On road teams when the money line is +125 to -125 like Houston, who are poor NL offensive team (4.1 runs or fewer runs a game) against a team with a bad bullpen (ERA>=5.00), starting a well rested pitcher who is working on 5 or 6 days rest. This system has done quite well at 38-11, 77.6 percent.
Free Baseball Trend -2) The Yankees are 12-0 in home games after allowing one run or less over the last two seasons.
Free Baseball Pick -3) The LCC consensus has the Detroit Tigers as best bet with 7-0 side in their favor.

Wednesday's Top Info
Picked ourselves up and nailed a 2-1 Tuesday and have a totals system in MLB tonight that is over 80 percent. The White Sox were almost no-hit last night, check out the Top Trend and see how they might respond. Today’s top Free Play is in the rink. Good Luck
What I thought today- Though not a hot sport, the NHL Playoffs are awesome entertainment. I’ve dabbled in hockey for years, mostly with mediocre results, however I’m going to take some of my CBB winnings and set up a playoff budget and see how I do, kind of a challenge of sorts.
In case you missed it, the owner of Eye on Gambling website and the person who started the RX.com has died. Lots of things surrounding his death, including the reports of murder/suicide with his wife. Though an infrequent reader of his site, I know he was well respected in his area of expertise. Sad story.
On Twitter at: http://twitter.com/3Dailywinners
Free Baseball System -1) Play Over when the total is 8 to 8.5 with poor NL offensive team (Astros) scoring 4.1 or less RPG, against a team (Cards) with a good bullpen (ERA 3.75 or less), with a poor bullpen whose ERA is 4.50 or worse on the season. In the last four years this system is 34-8, 81 percent.
Free Baseball Trend -2) The Chicago White Sox are 11-2 after a game where they stranded three or less runners on base.
Free Hockey Pick -3) Michael of the LCC has started the week 6-0 and likes San Jose in the opener.

Let's keep the Winners coming on Monday
The winning continues despite a sorry system play which was about as close as those saying President Obama wasn’t American. We’ll try and do best with fabulous system that is 12-0 this year alone. The Top Trend is reverse perfect at 0-12 in the American League and Sal is officially white hot and goes for fifth in a row here. Good Luck
What I learned today – Mark Sanchez became the first rookie in nearly 60 years to score a touchdown and throw a TD pass in the first quarter of the same game. The last rookie to do that was Adrian Burk of the Baltimore Colts in 1950. Among the others to have done so was a pair of rookies in 1921 better known for their respective success as an NFL coach and an Olympian: Curly Lambeau and Jim Thorpe. Thanks Elias

Free Baseball System-1) PLAY AGAINST road underdogs like Houston with a money line of +175 to +250, batting .250 or worse over their last 20 games against opponent with a starting pitcher who has WHIP 1.000 or less over his last five starts. This system is 60-4, 93.7 percent in the last five years and is 12-0 in 2009.
Free Baseball Trend -2) Nick Blackburn and the Minnesota Twins are 0-12 in road games when playing against a team with a winning record over the last two seasons.
Free Baseball Pick -3) Sal's best play is on Tampa Bay today and for those who want to know what he likes on Monday, he made a small wager on the Over (MNF play won't count).

Free Baseball System-1) PLAY AGAINST road teams like Baltimore when the money line is +125 to -125, with a mediocre bullpen whose WHIP is 1.450 to 1.550 on the season, against opponent with a starting pitcher who is winless after five or more starts. Over the last dozen years, this system is 38-9, 80.9 percent, including 6-1 in 2009.

Totals System in Baseball Ready to Unload
No pennant race talk in this article, instead we’re on the hunt for a baseball betting winner and the potential is there to cash winning ticket. The Cincinnati Reds were spotted as frauds at the All-Star break hovering around .500, despite having the 14th rated runs scored and runs allowed figures in the National League. The baseball gods finally caught up with the Reds and they lost 14 out of 15 after the break.Fortunately for Cincinnati (66-79, -2.9 units), they play in the same division as Pittsburgh, so finishing last is usually taken care of by the Pirates. The Reds have had their share of injuries, which might have contributed to better offensive numbers, yet the facts state what the Reds are, not very good offensively, ranked 28th in baseball.
It hasn’t been a marquee season in Houston (70-75, -0.9 units) either, trying to squeeze one more pennant chase out of the oldest team in the big leagues, with a pitching staff being held together with yarn and duct tape beyond Roy Oswalt and Wandy Rodriguez. The Astros don’t swing the bats a whole lot better than Cincinnati, ranked 25th in runs scored at 4.1 runs per game.
September baseball is a real challenge to wager on, with so many unexpected occurrences. Take this series, Houston had won seven out of ten and came to play on the banks of the Ohio River, having beaten the Reds 16 out of last 21 in their own ballpark. Cincinnati returned home after losing five of last six on extended road trip and they were set to be underdogs against the Astros best starters Rodriguez and Oswalt, in the first two meetings.
So what happens, Cincy wins the first two games as home underdogs and goes for the sweep today. The Reds are -120 money line favorites at DiamondSportsbook.com, with a total of Ov9 (remember that number).
Today’s pitching matchup won’t make this the game of the day, with Justin Lehr (4-2, 4.93 ERA) facing Yorman Bazardo (0-1, 9.00). What these pitchers lack in name brand recognition, they are expected to contribute to a top notch Totals system today.
Play Over on all teams when the total is 9 to 9.5, with a winning percentage between 38 and 46 percent, off two straight upset wins over division rivals as a home underdog.
Since 1997, this Total system is 35-11, 76.1 percent, with the average total score being 11.1 runs per game. This system is further aided by Cincinnati sporting a 9-1 OVER record off an upset win over a division rival as a home underdog (note the similarity) over the last two seasons and Houston is 29-15 OVER vs. an NL starting pitcher whose ERA is 4.70 to 5.20 since 2007. September baseball, the strangeness never stops, yet winners can still be uncovered.
Slump-busters needed for Philadelphia and Atlanta
An old baseball mythical term which has been around for years finds a couple of National League teams in need of its magic. The Philadelphia Phillies were just swept at Houston and Atlanta has lost five in a row. As opposed to other teams with losing streaks at present, both these teams are changing opponents, which might be enough to end this dismal spell. However, in other instances, “slump-busters” might include changing batting order, burning bats, wearing hats differently in the dugout or a few other more crude elements that can’t be mentioned here.Philadelphia at Washington
The Phillies (77-58, +3.3 units) suffered a lost holiday weekend in Houston in being swept by the Astros in four game series for the first time in a decade. Philadelphia bats have taken a leave of absence, as Philly as scored almost 1.9 runs per game in last nine tries and hasn’t scored more than four runs in a single game since August 24, covering 13 ballgames. Only twice in their last 13 tries have they managed to get to double digit hits.
The Phillies will open up three games series in Washington (47-90, -32.4 units) and the Nationals have often been the perfect elixir for what ails any team. Washington would have nine game losing streak except for scoring three runs in the bottom of the ninth to come from behind and surprise Florida 5-4 Sunday. The Nationals are 15-42 having lost two of their last three games and are woebegone 2-14 with a day off this season.
Philadelphia will face John Lannon (8-10, 4.09 ERA) who is 0-5 with a 5.89 ERA in seven career starts against the Phillies. Ryan Howard and struggling teammates are 27-15 versus left-handed pitchers, scoring 5.3 runs per game in 2009. Bookmaker.com has the Phils as -140 money line favorites behind Pedro Martinez (3-0, 3.52), with a total at Un9. Lannon and the Nats are 12-29 in night games, while the Phillies are 12-4 with an on-base percentage of .300 or worse over their last 15 games this season.
Atlanta at Houston
The Braves (70-67, -12.9 units) have played themselves out of wild card contention by losing five straight, the last three at home to Cincinnati scoring four runs against a Reds pitching staff ranked middle of the road at eighth in the National League in runs allowed. Atlanta travels to hot Houston (67-70, +2.4 units) club, who just wiped out Philadelphia four in a row. Atlanta has touched home plate 14 times in last five contests (2.8 RPG), while hitting well below the Mendoza-line as a team with .185 batting average.
We picked a real bad time to all not hit,” Chipper Jones told the Braves official Web site. “It just doesn’t seem like anybody is swinging the bat real well.” Jones is a big part of the offensive misdeeds, batting .121 in his last 20 games.
A change of venue could ignite Atlanta who lost 4-2 Sunday and they are 12-5 in road games after a loss by two runs or less this season. They will turn to Javier Vazquez (11-9, 3.18) who is 22-7 vs. teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game over the last two seasons. (Team's Record) The Braves are -140 money line favorites with total at Un8.5.
Houston will try to extend their winning streak to five coming off of three consecutive one-run wins over Philadelphia. Felipe Paulino (2-7, 6.62) will be given the pill, attempting to hold the slumping Braves bats in check and Houston is 20-9 at Minute Maid Park in the second half of the season.
