What I letting you know today – I had just flipped on the end of the Colorado and Cubs game in the bottom f the ninth, tied at 5-5, when the Rockies TV announcer said Carlos Gonzalez needs a home run to hit for the cycle and wouldn’t that be a welcome sight at this point of the game. The first pitch of the half inning Gonzalez swings and hits a walk off home run and becomes the six Colorado player to hit for the cycle. ''I heard everyone saying I was going to do it,'' Gonzalez said. ''You just believe in yourself. I guess it was meant to be. It was my night, it was the Rockies' night.''

What I letting you know today – From Elias Sports: Cliff Lee registered 13 strike outs without allowing a walk in nine innings of work in the Rangers extra-inning win over the A's on Tuesday night. Only one other pitcher in Texas' franchise history has struck out 13+ batters without issuing a walk in the same game. Nolan Ryan did that twice in a Rangers uniform, first on September 30, 1989 against the Angels (13 Ks) and then again on August 17, 1990 (15 Ks).
Lee has now pitched at least eight innings in each of his last eight starts. That is the longest such streak in a single season since Pat Hentgen hurled at least eight innings in 12 consecutive starts in 1996.

Wednesday's material of note

Goodness, another 3-0 day makes our record 51-23, 68.9 percent for last 74 choices. The Top Trend is in the heart of Texas and the LCC consensus plays have been saucier than Megan Fox’s language in recent interview. What I noticed today - Online sports betting oddsmakers were impressed with how easily the Lakers scored against Phoenix in totaling 128 points on 58 percent shooting. Los Angeles wasn’t exactly a defensive juggernaut with the Suns shooting 49.8 percent; however don’t you wonder just a little bit about the total moving SIX points from Game 1 to Game 2 to 216?

How bad are things in Brew Town? Milwaukee has lost eight straight and despite their history of dominating Pittsburgh, they have fallen from -170 opening money line road favorite and to -147 or less at most sportsbooks.

The Atlanta Braves began the day as -150 home favorites, but have sunk to -130 or lower against Cincinnati. The first place Reds are 12-4 playing against a team with a losing record this season and finding all kinds of different ways to win. Braves starter Kenshin Kawakami is 0-6 with 5.79 and he and Atlanta are 4-15 vs. teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game.

Scuffling Seattle was supposed to be an AL West contender and are if you hold the newspaper upside down. The Mariners are -120 choice down from -140 and just can’t get out of their own way with 6-18 record after a loss this season.

The Giants and Diamondbacks division matchup started at nine and at last look is up to Un10. Plenty of reasons for sports bettors to believe this will come true since San Fran starter Todd Wellemeyer has 9.49 road ERA and though Ian Kennedy has been more effective (3.58 ERA) for Arizona, unless he’s able to pitch complete game, the Snakes bullpen will enter the contest with outrageous 7.97 earned run average this season.

MLB Betting Nuggets

Play on teams like Philadelphia against a -1.5 run line, who are good NL offensive team scoring 5.0 or more runs a game against a quality starting pitcher (ERA<=3.70), after allowing two runs or less two straight games. (40-13 L5Y)

Toronto is 9-1 against the money line in road games when playing against a team with a losing record this season, winning by 1.8 runs per game.

Tom Gorzelanny of the Cubs is 12-0 OVER as a road underdog of +100 or higher over the last three seasons, with average total score of 10.9 RPG.

What I saw today - The Tigers overcame a 6-1 deficit and rallied back to defeat the Red Sox 7-6 in extra innings on Saturday. That marked the fourth time this season that the Tigers have won a game in which they have trailed by at least five runs. No other team has done that more than once this season (the Mets, Arizona and Toronto have one such win each). What I’m thinking today- What is wrong with the Cleveland Cavaliers? No sense of urgency, very tentative and their supposed rock solid defense has more holes than in the Arizona/Mexico border.

Isn’t it great their will one NBA game each of the next two days with two series having three or more days off? After the NBA got its ass whipped by 3 to 1 in viewers by the NFL Draft, might be time to rethink this stupid strategy and just keep playing and have The Finals start on June 1 after the sweeps are done on TV.

What I thought today- I will occasionally whine like a baby about bad beats, however I just like to get it out of my system and not as upset as I come across from time to time. In order to meet required checks and balances in life, I will report I was convinced I was 0-2 last night turning off Pittsburgh game with under a minute, only to come back to turn off computer but has CBS CBB score page open and see the game was in 3OT with 50 seconds left. I quick flipped on the TV and watched the Panthers pull it out and I understand completely how lucky I was to win.

What I’m thinking today – I’m caught in one of those rare situations where I want to bet one team but I really like the other team. When I say like, I mean I want them to win. This doesn’t happen often for me, but it does occur. I actually like the 11-0 Cincinnati team. I like the way they play, I like their coach and I would like to see them go unbeaten. That aside, I have the suspicion they may have peaked, especially on defense and I believe an angry Pittsburgh team beats them. I’ll be rooting for the Bearcats and don’t want money to take away from my enjoyment of watching the game and pulling me in opposite directions.

I have so much respect for Sal I played SMU just because of his skill, even though I didn’t like the game at all and I got what I deserved. Overall a disappointing 1-2 record as underdogs again ruled the day for the most part. For Week 12 of the NFL, we’ll see if we can find another Best System winner that is 86.7 percent. What I learned yesterday – The Colts defeated the Ravens, 17-15, to continue their recent trend of extending their winning streak in closely-contested games. The Colts' three other victories this month had come by scores of 18-14 over the 49ers, 20-17 over the Texans and 35-34 over the Patriots, and as in their win over the Ravens, the Colts had trailed in the fourth quarter in each game. Indianapolis became the first team in NFL history to win four consecutive games after trailing during the fourth quarter in each of those games.

The Colts became the first team in NFL history to win four consecutive games in the same season by a total margin of 10-or-fewer points. And they did it by filling an inside straight, having won those games by margins of one, two, three and four points. The previous record was set by the 1986 Giants: en route to winning the Super Bowl, Bill Parcells's team defeated the Cowboys, Eagles, Vikings and Broncos by a combined margin of 11 points. NFL Week 10 Plays

Actually feel a little guilty, but we have gotten this far doing what we are doing. What I thought yesterday – Though I was sort of rooting for the Phillies, I had no problem with the Yankees being champs. While some small-minded people will use the argument that they paid for the World Series, I say good for them. Answer me this, how would you like to work for an organization that has an incredible desire to succeed? (I will use the caveat of at the expense of hurting others for personal gain). What I thought today – Talked to Paul Buck last night as he was lamenting his Totals loss (thanks to those who purchased by the way) on the Monday night game. While I’m the first to agree you can never handicap turnovers for touchdowns, I explained to him he was lucky the kickers missed at least two very makeable field goals. Besides it wasn’t like either team was really stopping the other. I did feel his pain (and yours also), as we’ve all been in that spot more times than we can count.

A Monday of Great Viewing

Ended up with sharp 3-1 record overall in the NFL and still have a Over play on tonight’s Monday Night encounter still hanging out there from Thursday. Have a really interesting system for tonight in the NFL at 83.3 percent. How do the Angels do after blowing a save, read on. Good Luck

What you I thought yesterday- Isn’t it ridiculous how those players looked wearing earflaps during the baseball games over the weekend? Players wearing essentially ski masks with area cut out so they could see. Obviously the cold weather really came early to the East but the later baseball goes, you have to figure the worse the weather. Baseball lucked out to have these four teamsw still playing and the baseball ratings are very good, but that won’t happen every year. My suggestion would be to schedule seven day/night doubleheaders, similar to the old days. That way teams can still have all the revenue of separate games and the season can be shorten one week. I understand all the ramifications, but playing baseball in November is asinine.
