Wednesday Wrap-up

When we last convened for plays it was a 3-0 Saturday, so let’s try and match it. The Best System is exceptional 87.1 percent, but read further because it comes with a caveat. The Top Trend is the ever popular reverse perfect in the NBA. My friend Slick Rick is making money like the airlines charging for bags and has MLB selection.

What I thought yesterday- Loved the joke about Tiger Woods having extra protection at Augusta and it showed two tanks, I think it was on Jay Leno.

Free Basketball System -1) Play On road teams like Golden State scoring 103 or more points a game on the season, after trailing in their previous game by 20 or more points at the half. This electric system is 27-4 ATS, 87.1 percent, just be careful of all the Warriors injuries.

Free Basketball Trend -2) The Dallas Mavericks are 0-12 ATS at home versus teams averaging 20 or less assists a game this season.

Free Baseball Pick -3) Slick Rick is nailing over 68 percent of his plays the last 18 days and is on the Halos this evening.

Sunday Plays and thoughts from Saturday

What an odd day in basketball! 3DW was 1-1 in official picks and our system play that was just below 80 percent (79.5) is now over with two winners yesterday. All of our plays today are from the NBA, with an outstanding system that is 26-4 ATS. The Top Trend is from tonight’s ESPN affair and is a perfect total play. Slick Rick looks to hunt down another winner, this one on the road again. Good Luck

What I thought yesterday- I've never seen a team as tired as Kansas State in a big game from start to finish.I've never seen a game where a team did not have a two-point field goal and led at halftime. (West Virginia)

As I wrote in my article about the game, I presumed West Virginia would play more 1-3-1 zone. In theory a good coaching job by Huggins, but a terrible effort by John Calipari in preparation and execution by his players. Yes, Kentucky is young, but that has nothing to do with how you perform execution.

I coached AAU basketball for a number of years and the 1-3-1 zone is one of the easiest to defeat. Like any zone, you have to hit shots which Kentucky did not do. However, how you take it a step further is crisp passing (not look-hold-pass), which forces the wing players to cover about 10 feet of space on continual basis. Over time that should open up shots at 15 feet, not 20 or more.

Next you send weak-side cutter thru and have your player in the middle set screen for possible layup up or catch and pass to big man in the middle. Or you have your big man set screen opposite side when the ball is at the top of either side for weak-side dunk from low wing player against smaller low man in the zone.

I saw none of this by coach Cal.

It's interesting to note both teams that lost Saturday played the later games on Thursday and neither was mentally sharp and both shot the ball incredibly poorly. Curious to see what Michigan State and Duke do in same circumstance.

Do you realize a 5 or 6 seed is guaranteed to play in national championship with Butler, Michigan State and Tennessee alive on that side of the bracket?

Free Basketball System -1) Play On road teams like Golden State, scoring 103 or more points a game on the season, after trailing in their previous game by 20 or more points at the half. Since 2005, this system checks in at 26-4 ATS, 86.7 percent.

Free Basketball Trend -2) Boston is 10-0 UNDER after leading their last two games by 10 or points at the half over the last two seasons.

Free Basketball Pick -3) Slick Rick is 20-7 since last Sunday and his Best Bet this day is Portland.

Let's shoot for Super Tuesday

Going to take a 0-1-1 Monday, since the Mavs were anywhere from -8.5 to -9.5 and landed on nine, thus we’ll take a push when the final number would actually have given us a winner. Our system play was actually right, but didn’t qualify, leaving us at 19-8 in last 27. We have a qualifying play today for certain in the NBA at 85.3 percent. The Top Trend is flat dead perfect and the Free Play has those betting in agreement this is the right side. Good Luck

What I thought today – I really like John Calipari the basketball coach. Though he has left a trail of debris behind him, he always has been able to get his players to play hard. What makes him a great salesman is this season at Kentucky, consistently downplaying either the team or himself, however when he was at Memphis, he was always talking about how underrated and good his team was. Adaptability and teaching work ethic are his strengths.

Free Basketball System -1) Play On home teams like Golden State when the line is +3 to -3, averaging 103 or more points a game on the season, against opponent after a loss by 10 points or more. Dating back to 1996, this system is 29-5 ATS. 85.3 percent.

Free Basketball Trend - 2) New Mexico is 8-0 ATS after allowing 65 points or less three straight games, winning by almost 15 points a game.

Free Basketball Pick -3) The Left Coast Connection consensus says to play Hofstra with the points.

Top NBA Monday Systems

The New Orleans Hornets probably wish they were at home tonight to be part of the excitement that has engulfed the Crescent City. Instead, they are on the road in Orlando and are part of an extremely light schedule that has just three games to start the week heading into the All-Star break.

New Orleans (+8.5, 194) at Orlando

Normally, when a team like the Magic has a winning percentage of 60 to 75 percent and has played under the total by 30 or more points in last five contests and their next game has a total of 190 to 199.5, the Under is a safe play at 74-45 since 2005. However, this season we have seen a reversal, with this very system 10-4 Over in 2009-10.

San Antonio (+3, 194) at L.A. Lakers

In the last three seasons, nine of the 12 matchups between these teams have gone under the total. The Lakers will be playing their playing ninth game in two weeks and the Spurs their third road game in five days. When conceivably tired teams meet in these circumstances they are 49-19 UNDER the last 14 years.

Dallas (-4, 218) at Golden State

The Warriors have lost eight in a row and are dead last in the league in defense permitting 111.3 points per game. Home teams having allowed 100 points or more five straight games, against opponent after scoring 55 points or more in the first half of consecutive contests are 8-25 ATS the last five years.

Bound for Glory Tuesday

After a couple of desultory days, got back to work with 3-0 Monday. For Tuesday have a sharp Top Trend in the NBA out West. Paul Buck is heating up in the NBA and has what he hopes is another winner for you today. Top quality systems are scarce today, however found one that is good just not up to out 80 percent standards. Good Luck

What I found today – Dallas opened as eight-point favorites against Milwaukee; however several sportsbooks have dropped the Mavs to 6.5-point faves with their 5-15 ATS home record. NBA bettors also haven’t been to keen on Warriors and Kings 221 total in Sacramento and most reporting stations have this one falling to 219.5.

Minnesota is off gut-wrenching one-point loss to Michigan State, nevertheless with its tremendous defense and long history of success at “The Barn”, the action has been on the Golden Gophers taking them from 10-point home favorites to 12 or 12.5.

In the ACC, the Miami and Maryland matchup has drawn the attention of total players, taking this one from opening 153.5 to 156 by afternoon to those East of the Mississippi River. Just the opposite of West Virginia at DePaul, as college hoops aficionados wonder who will score for the Blue Demons behind Will Walker, dropping the total from 126 to 122.5 at a few wagering outlets.

On the ice, despite losing four of last five, the Red Wings are a public betting favorite and have gone from -160 to -175 on the money, getting ready to host Phoenix. Maybe having won seven straight at “The Joe” over the Coyotes is influencing backers.

Free Basketball System -1) Play Against home teams like Ball State where the line is +3 to -3 off a cover where the team lost straight up as an underdog, with a winning percentage of between 40-49 percent on the season. This decent system is 57-20 ATS, 74 percent the last five years.

Free Basketball Trend -2) Golden State is 2-12 ATS in road games after scoring 60 points or more in the first half last contest, losing by 12.7 points per game.

Free Basketball Pick -3) Paul Buck had a winner last night and has won eight of his last 10 NBA plays and likes Milwaukee to cover the seven at Dallas.

Magical Monday Night

Ended up officially 2-1, though many probably had a push on Tennessee and Arizona. Today we an 88.9 percent NBA system on a losing team that is favored. The Chicago Bulls have yet to cover in a specific angle in a number of tries and red hot Kendall has a Free CBB play. We also check in on how many experts feel about tonight’s big football contest. Good Luck

What I saw yesterday – You cannot bet the Carolina Panthers, period. Yesterday they had an easy opportunity to cover against the New York Jets and Jake Delhomme returned back to early season form. There are option quarterbacks in college football that throw the ball better than he does right now. On Sunday he made Bills backup Ryan Fitzpatrick look like he belongs in the NFL. I honestly don’t know how you bet for or against Carolina with Delhomme the biggest wild card holding back a franchise.

Free Basketball System-1) The Golden State Warriors are off to another dismal start at 5-10 and were lambasted 130-97 by the Los Angeles Lakers in last contest. That could be good news tonight for the league’s third highest scoring team (108.5 PPG), as home clubs scoring 103 or more points a game on the season, off a loss by 10 points or more, with the line at +3 to -3, are 24-3 ATS the last 13 years.

Free Basketball Trend-2) The Chicago Bulls are 0-9 ATS after playing a game as an underdog this season.

Free Basketball Pick -3) Kendall is 11-3 the three days in all his top plays and is on Bowling Green tonight. (LCC members are a divided house, 10 each on the Saints and Patriots and four apiece on the total)

Paul Buck’s Monday Night Magic- Guaranteed

Time to Whack'em Wednesday

Ah, what’s that smell, oh yes, the smell of success after a 3-0 day. I can assure you we won’t go 3-0 today, since we will have four plays for Wednesday. We get two plays out of today’s best System, which is a shade over 80 percent the last four years in college basketball. The Perfect Trend pops up in the NBA and the results have been definitive. Free Play is forthcoming. Good Luck.

Like to give a shout out to “Prodegy”, who has been providing winners for readers in the Comment section. Thanks Prodegy, we appreciate it.

Free Basketball System-1) PLAY ON home teams as a favorite or pick after a cover as a double digit favorite, in March games. This timely system is 37-9 ATS, 80.4 percent since 2005 and yields two plays, both in the Big East, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

Free Basketball Trend -2) The Golden State Warriors are is 0-9 ATS in road games after scoring 110 points or more this season, losing by an average of 17.6 points per game.

Free Basketball Selection -3) Marty’s pick is Miami-Fl. to keep Georgia Tech grounded.

Count down to Super Bowl Friday Plays

Let’s call yesterday what it was, a dismal 0-2-1 day and move forward. Golden State could be a bad spot as today’s Top Trend shows, visiting the Bayou. The Miami Heat are not in a very good situation either, based on history in today’s best System selection. We welcome back Kendall who has is having a quality week of wagering, as he offers his Best Bet for this evening. Good Luck.

Sorry to be so late, had to finish up Super Bowl articles.

Free Basketball System-1) PLAY AGAINST any team like Miami, off two consecutive wins by 10 points or more against division rivals, on Friday nights. Not really sure what the significance of Friday is, but hard to argue with 23-4 ATS, 86.2 percent.

Free Basketball Trend -2) Golden State is 0-11 ATS in road games versus teams who are called for 21 or less fouls a game this season.

Free Basketball Selection -3) A name we haven’t heard in some time is Kendall from the LCC. He’s 9-3 this week in all his bets and just finished 3rd in big poker tournament in Southern California. He’s taking some of his winning and betting the Boston Celtics.

Back to Regular Work Week Plays

A 1-2 day failed to yield any profit, but as we all know, that happens. Do you get the same feeling I do that Brad Childress is over his head in important games? That was among the reasons I played the Eagles yesterday. The best system I could find is not one I’ll personally be wagering on for various reasons, but I can’t argue with the results and hope it is correct. Not that Golden State needs a reason to fail again, but today’s Top Trend is yet another why the Warriors could fail. I have to admit to being surprised by how many bettors from the LCC like the Buckeyes tonight. Good Luck.

Free Basketball System-1) PLAY ON all teams New Mexico State where the line is +3 to -3, off a road win by 10 points or more, with just one or fewer starters returning from last season. This system comes in a 24-5 ATS, 82.8 percent.

Free Basketball Trend -2) The Golden State Warriors are 2-11 ATS vs. good free throw shooting teams - making 76 percent or more of their attempts this season.

Free Football Selection -3) The members of the Left Coast Connection are solidly behind Ohio State in tonight’s game, with over 78 percent support.
